This document is a public offer from Al Ayman Services Gateway L.L.C-FZ (the “Platform”, “we”) governing the use of the alayman.ae website and the Al Ayman mobile applications. By registering an account or continuing to use the service, you confirm that you have read and agree to all of the terms set out below.
1.General provisions
Al Ayman is a services marketplace operating in the United Arab Emirates. The Platform connects clients who need household and professional services (plumbing, medicine, cosmetology, IT, design and hundreds of other categories) with verified contractors — individuals holding a valid Freelancer Permit and legal entities holding a Commercial License.
The Platform is not an employer of the contractors and does not provide services on their behalf. All legal relationships regarding the provision of services arise directly between the client and the contractor.
Posting requests is completely free for clients. Contractors pay for responses to requests, as well as the platform commission, which is charged to their balance only when the contractor is assigned to a request. The Platform does not withhold any commission from the fee itself.
2.Registration and verification
2.1. Account
To use the platform you need to create an account. Registration is completed by confirming your phone number and email address with a one-time code.
When registering, you undertake to:
- provide accurate and up-to-date information about yourself;
- not give third parties access to your account;
- immediately notify the Platform via support if your account is compromised.
A single user may act both as a client and as a specialist within one account.
2.2. Contractor verification
To obtain the right to respond to requests, contractors must upload a valid document:
- Freelancer Permit — for individuals (independent specialists);
- Commercial License — for legal entities (companies).
The Platform reviews documents within up to 120 hours on business days. The validity period of the licence is tracked automatically — once it expires, access to responses is suspended until an up-to-date document is uploaded.
2.3. Sessions and devices
The Platform records the user's active sessions (device, browser, IP, date of last activity). Users can view the list of devices and terminate any session via their account settings.
3.Roles and obligations of the parties
3.1. The Platform
Al Ayman provides the technical infrastructure: publication of requests, search for specialists, secure chat, the response and payment system, document verification, moderation of content and correspondence, and the review registry.
3.2. The client
The client independently formulates the task, fills in the request fields according to the selected category, chooses a contractor from the responses received, and agrees the payment terms and deadlines. The client must respond to responses in good faith and must not publish knowingly unfeasible or fictitious requests.
3.3. The specialist (contractor)
The specialist independently assesses the task, is responsible for the quality of the service and for meeting deadlines, accepts payment from the client directly, and bears personal responsibility for the compliance of their activities with UAE legislation — including tax and licensing obligations.
3.4. The company
A company is a legal entity acting with the rights of a specialist and an extended profile. A company can add employees to its profile, upload their documents and respond to requests on behalf of the organisation.
4.Requests and responses
The client creates a request by selecting a service category and filling in the fields specific to that category (type of work, scope, deadlines, budget and other parameters). A published request is shown to verified contractors in the relevant category and city.
The contractor sends a response — optionally a short message with an offer. The cost of one response is charged to the internal balance at the moment it is sent. Current rates are shown on the wallet page in your account.
If the client accepts the response, an additional fixed commission is charged to the contractor's balance. After that, the platform does not take part in settlements between the client and the contractor.
The Platform reserves the right to change response rates. Current rates are always shown on the wallet page in your account.
5.Payments, commissions and balance
All Platform commissions are charged to the contractor's internal balance in dirhams (AED). The balance is topped up through the payment provider Stripe — all payment methods it supports for your region are available. The minimum top-up amount is shown in the interface.
The Platform does not take part in settlements between the client and the contractor and does not charge any commission on the fee for the services provided. The parties determine the method, timing and procedure of payment themselves — including in cash, by transfer or by any other means outside the Platform.
6.Referral programme
Every Platform user can obtain a personal referral code. When a new contractor registers using this code, the referrer receives a reward equal to a percentage of every balance top-up made by the referred user during the established period. The current terms of the programme (reward amount, limitations) are published on the referral programme page inside your account.
The referral reward is credited to the internal balance and can be used to pay for responses.
The Platform reserves the right to change or cancel the referral programme, as well as to cancel rewards obtained as a result of abuse (self-referral schemes, bot registrations, etc.).
7.User content
By posting text, images, audio, documents and other materials on the Platform, you confirm that you hold the necessary rights to that content and grant the Platform a non-exclusive licence to use it within the service (display in the request card, profile, search and chat).
The Platform does not claim ownership of users' intellectual property but reserves the right to remove content that violates these terms or applicable UAE law.
8.Prohibited actions
When using the Platform, it is prohibited to:
- share contact details (phone, messengers, email) in the first messages in order to avoid commissions — automatic chat moderation blocks such messages;
- create duplicate accounts or register using someone else's documents;
- publish knowingly false information about qualifications, portfolio, licences or reviews;
- offer services that are contrary to UAE legislation;
- use automated tools for the mass creation of responses;
- insult other users or distribute spam, threats or malicious links;
- manipulate the referral programme (self-referral schemes, use of bots).
A violation entails temporary blocking of the account, withholding of the balance towards a penalty, or irreversible deletion of the account depending on the severity of the violation.
9.Chat and communications
Once a response is accepted, the client and the contractor gain access to a secure chat. The chat supports text messages, video, images and file attachments. Correspondence is moderated in accordance with the Platform rules.
The automatic moderation system detects attempts to share contact details at the start of a conversation. Recorded violations are escalated to manual moderation.
Chat history is stored and processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy and remains available to the parties for the period the Platform is used.
10.Disputes and moderation
In the event of a conflict between a client and a contractor, either party may contact the Platform's support service via the support chat in the chats section. The moderator reviews the circumstances of the enquiry and the correspondence and makes a decision within 120 hours on business days.
Following the review of an enquiry, the Platform may apply measures to the violator — a warning, restriction of access to certain features, or blocking of the account. Civil law disputes concerning the quality and payment of services are considered in the general manner provided for by UAE legislation.
11.Limitation of liability
The Platform is not responsible for the quality of the services provided by contractors, or for the accuracy of the information posted in requests by clients. The Platform is responsible only for the uninterrupted operation of the service and for the correctness of the document verification it carries out.
In all cases, the Platform's liability is limited to the amount of commissions actually paid by the user during the 12 months preceding the incident.
12.Changes to the terms
The Platform may amend these terms by publishing a new version at alayman.ae/terms. By continuing to use the service after a new version is published, you accept the changes made.
13.Governing law
These terms and any relationships arising from the use of the Platform are governed by the legislation of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes are subject to consideration in the courts of Dubai.
14.Contacts
All enquiries are accepted at support@alayman.ae. Please send legal requests to legal@alayman.ae.
